Our Staff & Volunteers
Saint Hilary & Saint Anthony have full time and part time staff members and volunteers who help to keep our parishes running smoothly. Whether you’re looking for help with something specific, or you’d just like to get involved, they’re here to help you find what you’re looking for.
Staff Members
Father Rusty Bruce was re-appointed Parochial Administrator of St. Hilary and St. Anthony, effective July 1, 2023. Father Bruce serves our parish by bringing the Sacraments to the people, being our father in faith, and by tending to the overarching administrative needs of the church parish. Father Matthew Prosperie was ordained on July 15, 2023 and appointed the Parochial Vicar of St. Hilary and St. Anthony, effective August 1, 2023. He is serving alongside Father Bruce to tend to the needs of the parishioners of our sister parishes. His phone extension is 204.
Deacon Timothy Vedros has served at our parish for many years. Deacon helps in assisting at Mass, training altar servers, providing the Sacrament of Baptism and Funeral Rites/Graveside services, and in leading our Men’s Fellowship Group. His phone extension is 203.
Diane Melancon has been working at Saint Hilary for over 19 years, and knows the ins and outs of the parish life extremely well. Contact Diane if you need help with Mass Intentions, Saint Hilary’s or Saint Anthony’s Cemetery, Tithing, or Sacramental Records. Her phone extension is 201.
Sarah Matherne has a Masters in School Counseling and is a long-time parishioner of St. Hilary. Please contact her for any questions regarding Sacraments, Funerals, Bulletin Announcements, Ministries, or with navigating our website/social media. Her phone extension is 200.
Sarah Salinas has directed Youth Formation at St. Anthony for many years, and is now the Coordinator of Youth Formation for both St. Anthony and Saint Hilary. Contact Sarah Salinas if you need help with anything regarding Youth Formation. Her extension is 202.
Hannah A. Pierce coordinates musicians for Sunday Masses, Holy Days of Obligation, and special events like Mercy Night during Advent and Lent.
Housekeepers & Custodians
Harold Matherne is our custodian who keeps our church, office, mausoleum, and rectory running in top shape. Cindy Martin and Robin Champagne work hard to make sure that our spaces of work and worship are clean and ready to welcome our parishioners & guests.
